So here we are again...

Thank you for visiting my blog-spot and today, I have some new updates as well as tips for my natural journey.
So as many already are aware of, my natural journey started about one year ago, today. I decided that I would stop the relaxing process with my hair, because I started to notice an increase in breakage with the relaxer growing old.
Soo today I celebrate with a shampoo treatment and my notorious pre-poo wash.
I will be updating later on with pictures and a video.

So..what is new?

I have recently been noticing an increase in the itchy scalp and dry hair. In my previous post, I mentioned that there is no amount of oiling that can keep my hair moist however, when being properly taken care of, I can find that my shedding decreases and the shine increases.
About four days ago, I got food poisoning so due to my being sick, I was unable to care for my hair in the usual way. Today It is braided because I will be taking a trip to the local beauty supply to purchase some black castor oil, as well as reverting back to my old shampoo.

The black castor oil is something that I had wanted to try for quite some time. The many reviews I had seen online all state that it works well. Not only does it work well, it promotes healthy hair growth (we shall see).

                 Again with the band wagon?
Shampoo to some seems to be the most un- important part of the hair growth process. I see the trend for co-washing growing and for me that can be used as a secondary option. I find that When I go to long without washing, I get buildup of the roots, it is gross!!!!
Now the shampoo I will be going back to is the  garnier fructis. It works just fine for my hair. Not only does it work, it adds a longer lasting shine. (No straightening involved, just straight natural).
With the "black" intended products, I find that they do not do all what they promise. Not all of them but the greater bulk that we are experimenting with and buying because they are expensive and say all natural.

                          What works for you?

May not work for me, but If anyone has any opinions or has found something that really works for them, please share. I would be delighted to try it if it. Feel free to leave comments or even subscribe. Till next time>>
